CS 6553 Performance Evaluation Final Project Report
Your report should be organized into the following sections:
- Abstract:
This should be a summary of the topic covered by the paper.
It should be self-contained with no external references.
It will fit on one page, usually about half a page in length.
The purpose of the abstract is to allow potential readers to determine
if they want to look at the rest of the paper.
- Introduction: This introduces the general ideas of the topic
of the paper. It describes what problem is addressed in the paper
(and why it is interesting)
in more detail than the abstract. It may include references to background
or related work and it may describe what to expect in the rest of the
paper.
- Additional Sections:
These sections describe what you did and what
results you obtained. If you did an experiment, describe the experimental
design and the results you got. Be sure to analyze the results and state
what you learned from doing the experiment.
Look at Box 2.2 on page 26 and discuss the relevant topics.
Make sure you have gone through the checklist in Box 2.1
- Conclusions: This summarizes the results of the paper and may also
describe future directions.
