CS 3733 Operating Systems, Spring 2003 Assignment 5 Comments

On the front of your assignment there should be a label with your name on it giving the grades I have recorded for you for the semester. There are 6 assignment grades (0-5) and the midterm. The maximum grades is incorrectly listed for Assignments 0 and 1. The max for Assignment 0 should be 20 and the max for assignment 1 should be 30.

• In the final test with 3 licenses, at most three processes should be running at one time.
• The timing should not be affected by sending status requests to the license manager.
• You should be able to determine in advance when the output should complete for a given test file and a given number of licenses.
• This is similar to FCFS process scheduling on multiple CPUS.
• The test file was as follows and should have taken 64 seconds for the last process (z) to complete:
