- Problem 1: The inode is stored on disk, but for open files a copy is kept
in memory, so if your said that the inode was in system space, it was OK.
- Problem 2: This problem gave students a lot of trouble. You should
know about memory leaks from Assignment 1.
- Problem 3: A problem like this appeared in the notes on fork,
wait, and exec.
- Problem 4: You got 4 points for understanding that Process A always
reads a and b. You got 4 points for undestanding that Process B and C
together read a, b, c, and d.
- Problem 5: This was like the problem from class that was put on the web.
- Problem 6: Each entry in the table was worth 1 point.
Students who got below 60 on this exam should consider dropping the course.
