• A "variable unused" lint warning usually implies sloppy programming
• If you do not check the box indicating that you program is working correctly, it is your reponsibility to convince me you deserve credit.
  If you just say it is not working, you will get credit accordingly.

• In getLine, you cannot assume that the line ends in a string terminator.
• The lines as they are being read in by getLine are not strings.
